My Daddy

Today would have been his 111th birthday. He has been gone for 20 years, and seldom a day goes by that I don't think of him and wish he were still here. A previous post, of a portrait I made of him.

That post was a lovely tribute to your Dad. My Dad is 85 and sadly very unwell. I hate losing him. I often wonder what he'd be like without my domineering mother. Sadly it looks like I'll never find out.

I agree, that was a lovely tribute. Thanks for redirecting us to it. I don't think I read it when you posted it in 2005

I know I had read this before but can't find a comment from me on the original post. I was a new blogger then and probably shy. I loved it then and I love it now. You always speak so well of your father.

I know the feeling Judy...mine died in 1960 and he deserved a much longer life. He is missed.

It's a wonderful thing when we remember our fathers with such love. The true meaning of everlasting.
