For two days now, I have attempted to leave scintillating commentary on various blogs, and Haloscan is eating my comments. I write, click publish, and the resultant window is as blank as a fresh page of notebook paper. If you have Haloscan, and you are not getting as many comments as usual - now you know why!

Well, that explains it. No comments since 6pm last night. Apparently it is a problem with Haloscan in general. I would switch back to blogger comments but then would lose all the others. The forums at Haloscan are less than helpful. If you detect a little sarcasm there you are right.
I've noticed the problem also, Judy. I don't have haloscan on my blog so I've not had to deal with it, but Bloggers comments have acted a bit odd today also.
I'm having the same problem. I've been trying to comment on several different blogs today that have haloscan and all I get is a big white screen after I hit publish.
I hovered at the Haloscan forum until someone (not Haloscan) came in with a work around. In the settings there is a beta tab and it had a spam redirect defaulted as on...if this is new it doesn't work. Anyway if you turn it to off the comments work. It has to be done on the individual comment site. If poopie checks in you might let her know.
Mined...but what can you do. seem to be back. Of course the counter is whacked.
Blogger is having trouble getting comments posted as well. It hangs up and doesn't go through.
Thank you, srp, for the explanation. I was wondering!
Judy, it was royally p*ssing me off!
They finally fixed the whole thing. At least I think so.
It is probably a communist plot or something Al Qeada has come up with. Figth through it is all you can do.
Speak of the devil! This just happened to me. Or maybe it was my computer. I was trying to comment on Melange's site...I see her comments above (srp).
This drove me absolutely nuts the other day when it happened because I am so limited on my computer time anymore and I tried leaving several comments and couldn't. That's the one advantage to having BOTH Blogger and Haloscan on the site for comments. When one breaks the other one's always there as a backup.
