I just finished this wreath for my front porch. The cornflowers are not this blue and I don't understand why my camera always makes blue flowers look different than they really are - whether they are fresh flowers or silks, as these are. The greens, purples and coral colors are true to life, and I sure wish the blues were.

Mr. kenju and I had to get lab work done this morning and afterward, we went to get a biscuit and coffee. He was griping about something as we entered the restaurant, and to the woman who was cleaning the glass, I said "Bitch...bitch...bitch." She smiled at me and told him that today was a beautiful, sunny, warm day, and he should be happy to be alive and drawing breath and able to walk! I told her that we need more of her and asked if we could take her home with us.....lol. I sure do enjoy being around positive people.

As we sat there eating our biscuits, I looked at some of the people sitting nearby; a tall, well-groomed man in a big black cowboy hat and leather vest - something we don't see around here often. I wondered if he was visiting from cowboy country. He kept looking at us and I thought maybe he knew mr. kenju, but he didn't say anything.

In the next booth there was a guy with his two small daughters who were both so pretty that they could be child models. His face was very ethnic and I decided he could have sat for the Mayan artists who carved all the sculptures into the walls and pyramids in Mexico at Chichen Itza.

There were the usual old married couples; sitting there with stony faces, never saying a word to each other. Sometimes I think that arguing often is better than never being spoken to - but then I don't really know - lol - mr. kenju doesn't give me the silent treatment often.

The guy on our left was quite a puzzle. He had on sweat pants and fuzzy slippers, and he was engrossed in his computer screen (which I couldn't see - probably a good thing.) He had several days growth of beard and here's the kicker - his black, straight hair was so long that it grazed the chair seat as he sat. There's never a dull moment in a biscuit place, is there?

Wow it sounds like an interesting place to be! The last time I was in the States a guy walked into a restaurant wearing a large black stetson hat with a suit. He looked like JR Ewing! :D He actually got away with it. His teenage son was eyeing up my hoodie and cap. Ha.

Great place to have your morning biscuits. Your wreath is beautiful; I wonder if a color filter on your lens would help with blues.

Interesting descriptions of your fellow breakfasters. We're all busy speculating about others and they're probably doing the same about us. Too bad we can't exchange notes with them.

There's your title if you ever decide to start another blog. THE BISCUIT PLACE. Sounds like my kind of place.

Now that was fun people watching. I love doing that. Are you sure that guy was checking out Mr. Kenju and not you???
Wonder if the long haired computer fellow was writing his blog and what he said about the same group.

Some married couples have been known to recite nursery rhymes to each other when eating out.
MTL and I have never sunk to that but we have a date on Thursday night so I'll check.
