Main tree in lobby Brier Creek (sorry, it is blurry) |
At Capital City Club (Governor's Room) |
I have worked 20+ hours since Friday, and I am t.i.r.e.d. Tomorrow we start at our Governor's Mansion. It allows for a somewhat slower pace, for which we are all thankful. I haven't taken as many photos this year; mainly because it all looks pretty much the same as last year, and I don't really have the time.

Well..It ALL looks WONDERFUL! So Festive!
I hope you get a little rest tonight, my dear Judy....And that The Governer's Mansion is as much fun as it usually is---Hard Work, Too, I Know.....but, there always seems to be a lot of joy and fun, too, decorating that Public Home....!
Fabulous!!! I can see why you're tired!!!
That's pretty cool decorating. Do you even want to decorate your own house when all this is done?
they all look gorgeous!
beautiful photos, yoo.
have a great day!
I loved the bar area. I am so sorry your work always comes in bunches with this season being the worst.
Take time to throw up your feet and just rest. Hope Mr. Kenju is a foot massage type of guy.
Hope it gets easier soon.
Seeing all those tall buildings makes me think you are terribly brave to drive in the city.
Tell the Governor hi from one of NC's ex-pats!
A picture paints a thousand words, so you did well, girl! Rest well, and I look forward to photos from The Governor's Mansion.
Judy--Had you not mentioned it, we would have taken any blur to be intentional artistic license!
just stopping by to say hi and thanks for the follow.
following your lovely blog right back!
Judy,
I think that I remember you riding in the cherry picker to place an ornament at the top of the Governor's Mansion tree last year.
I would LOVE to do that and envied you when you told us about it.
Did you have the opportunity to do that again this year?
I hope so, because I think it is one of the best things about the whole decorating job....
Nancy, I went up in the cherry picker, but not at the Mansion. It is used at the Cardinal Club, to hang wreaths up high. I go up on it to fluff the ribbons on the wreaths.
This is your busy time and it's fun to live vicariously with you as you decorate. Get some rest...we'll be here when you get back to your "usual".
Judy,
LUCKY YOU!
I saw the special on TV today about the designer who decorated Radio City Music Hall for the Christmas show. What a job that is.
When he was finished it was fabulous....
