Autumn Leaves

These photos were taken of the same tree that I have in my header photo  (which I took 2-3 years ago.)Depending on the weather (I guess), the leaves look a little different every year.

After work today, I pulled into Bojangles for a bite of lunch and some sweet tea (the best in the land) and the parking spot under this tree was open. I ate, looking up from my book to view the sunlight filtering through the leaves. I just had to pull out the camera and try a few shots. The photos aren't as pretty as it was in "real life", but maybe you'll enjoy them anyway.

Hi Judy,

I had a lovely tree just like this one and was waiting for it to be in it's full red glory this week.

Unfortunately, that snow storm came last Saturday and and that heavy wet snow fell on my tree and the whole tree came crashing down.

I will miss it so much. It was especially beautiful in the Fall.

Speaking of nice pictures I like the new photo of you that you have on your template. Is that your grandaughter?

My first thought when I saw that last photo of the tree - I saw a face with two black eyes, a nose and a mouth.

Nice shot!

Yours are prettier but we both had the same thought - not for the first time.
My problem is I have to deal with the leaves on the lawn.

Lovely, our leaves are gone... well, not quite, there are still a bunch of them on the ground needing a little encouragement to get to the curb...

Ah, you have actual red colors. We are mostly brown and pale yellow. Enjoy.

Isn't it amazing ...the multitude of colors in the leaves? I am very happy to see these.

Judy--That is one gorgeous tree! There is a tree near a house that I owned 1977-1995 that I visit each year for the shear joy it brings me. Unfortunately, with the drought and 53 days of 100+ degrees this summer, even that tree showed no color the other day.
Thanks for sharing!
