I guess we'll get a new ceiling out of it. I'd like to think we could get rid of the popcorn look, but I can't be too optimistic. I had fun at work today; made six bouquets, eight boutonnieres and four corsages, as well as a vase of a dozen roses. Maybe I'll get time to take some photos tomorrow. Have a good weekend! | | | | | | |

Water damage is tricky, water finds its own level and does not always appear at the point of damage. I hope the problem is sorted soon.
Oh My Lordy...Those pictures say it all, don't they....I hope it all gets fixed sooner than later, my dear. I know you will be very glad when it is ALL done!
Would love to see some pictures of the flowers you did, dear Judy....I look forward to that.
Oh, I am so sorry this happened. I hate the popcorn also. We have it in our house & I'd love to get rid of it!!
Would love to see the pics of your work. I always love to see them, you are so talented!
You have a good weekend also :)
Grannymar has a good point. I know you will be glad when this is all over with.
I have been there; done that. Water damage is terrible and so hard to find out where the leak really is. I hope the insurance covers it.
I kept getting messages that my blog had malware and I did everything I knew how to do to clear it up. I think it was blogspot sending warnings when there was no malware. It seems to be cleared up, or at least I no longer hear that people are afraid to open my blog. I may switch to a different blog provider. It's all so frustrating.
When they repair the ceiling, I don't think it's that tricky for a plasterer to give it a smooth finish.
Good luck with that. Of course you'll need a good stain block as well, otherwise the stain will show through after a bit!
Boy...have I been there Judy. I have had my office ceiling repaired a few times; even though it hasn't leaked in quite a while...it needs some new tiles and repainting again from the last time. Good luck with getting everything back in order.
Ai ai ai! Roof leaks are no fun. Last year at my workplace we had one leak after another until finally they had to re-do the entire roof. Fortunately my home is a condo so the only way the "roof" could leak is if my upstairs neighbours have plumbing problems.
I just had my bedroom painted and darned if my bedroom ceiling didn't leak yesterday--and the rain was miniscule. The roofers were out early today and it rained hard. No leaks so far. Knock on wood. How expensive is it to have the popcorn ceiling removed? I had that in my old house.
