I mentioned in a previous post how my dog Kippy and my cat Fluffer would always lie down together and cuddle. Here they are in front of the fireplace in our house, which was decorated for Christmas at the time. I used to hang Christmas cards on the fireplace tiles. This pic was from the late 50's or early 60's.
This pic is of my old cat Snowball and my neighbor's cat Hurricane. Snowball had gone to visit Hurricane and my neighbor decided to capture the occasion in a photo. This was in the late 80's. I honestly do not know which one of them was which in this picture, because they were almost identical solid white cats.

You may remember the post about Snowball - The Cat Who Adopted Me. Hurricane got his name because the man who lives across the street found this cat in Long Island Sound during a hurricane. The kitten was clinging to a piece of wood floating in the water. Bob rescued him, and that cat was indebted to and totally devoted to Bob thereafter. He died about 4 years ago at the age of 18.

It is cute seeing the dog and cat together. I can't even get our cats to tolerate each other, although the last couple of days, since it has been cold, they have been piling together on the soft chenille robe I got for Christmas.

So, how is the new Blogger going, any better? I am still trying to get up the nerve and time to switch.

Nyssa is in the middle of a crisis, classes, car, and now, heaven forbid, the cell phone. I think the demise of the cell phone is more anxiety producing than anything else.... and I barely use mine.

Love the kitty photos. My persian Poofy, while a bit arrogant and stuck up is beautiful.

To SRP... yes, the new blogger is working well now, at least for me.

Just stopping by to check out all your newest photos and cool nostalgia. Keep it up!

Cats and dogs are endless sources of entertainment. I wonder if they find us as funny as we find them.

Re commenting Judy, it has been pretty hard on a lot of sites lately, if WV is enabled and you have the "Review" option available click it, more than once sometimes it helps. Good luck.

Aww, that is so lovely how they used to cuddle together. My nan had cats and dogs who used to get on well together and sleep together too.

I love the story about the kitten being saved. My cat was a rescue cat. It took a day for him to accept me but I was patient. Then all of a sudden he came to me and has followed me around ever since.

Having a pet(s) is so rewarding.

I recently read in the Wall Street Journal about a service that transfers photos, even old black and whites, to a disk for safekeeping. Sounds interesting as I have boxes filled with accumulation of pictures but the only drawback is I would have to go through them and pick out the ones I wanted to send off and I am not inspired to do that right now.

I enjoy your photos.

Awww, how sweet!!! I think I mentioned the other day that I love these nostalgic posts of yours. (If I didn't, it's because I couldn't post comments here, either. What's up with all this?)

TOTALLY cool of you to suggest Tiff to your readers, by the way!!!

Judy, I couldn't comment on any Typepad blogs either for a while. I found out I had been blocked (???). I wrote Typepad, they answered and put me on a "white list" to unblock me for good. It worked. I can comment at Michele's now! Maybe if you wrote Haloscan?
