Creativity Abounds

Ooops: it has been pointed out by Scouser in the comments that these are probably fakes, given that they are all in the same exact position. Oh, well, it was a good fake out, right?
Here are some photos of trucks in Europe, which have been painted to appear as though the sides are missing and the contents are showing.

Cases of Pepsi, stacked upside down and hanging from the ceiling!

An aquarium!

A library!

And for pringles Hot & Spicy, a burned out shell!

Why don't we ever see anything this creative and fun in the US?

Judy...these are priceless! I love this kind of thinking! I will have to keep my eyes out on the "motorway" so I can see one...

Because Europeans know how to have fun....month long vacations, wine with dinner or just for any reason, they close their businesses in the heat of the day....love to shop, dress up just because...

Those are great!

I would hate to think of how many wrecks they would cause here in the states. We have gawkers on top of gawkers on the roads. :P

I Just LOOOOOVVVVEEEE THese, Judy...! So incredibly inventive and creative....And you are right. How come we don't see such Artful and Creative kind of advertising here in the U.S.?? I would love to see more! That first one is so fantastic, it really looks like the bottle is hanging out over the road....BRILLIANT!

If we took some of those graffiti artists and gave them a chance to do art like this, I wonder what would happen.

I loved these photos and how much fun it must be to see these trucks rolling down the highway.

These are terrific! LOL
I've always said the ads (even on TV) are much more creative and entertaining in Europe than the US.

PS>>>>>>DID you know that your calendar on your comments is showing MAY of 2007? LOL
Just thought I'd mention it....it says ohhhhhhh.....never mind, scratch that....lol
You have it written like Europe does...hmmm, the day first, then the month. God, "I" need a vacation....lol

Those are fabulous!
The US used to be THE place for fun and creativity. It is sad to see that part of our country go. We have become serious and politically correct and the first trucker who did this would be over his head in numerous lawsuits because he would have caused accidents from his glorious display. I don't know that people are even aware of how many freedoms this country has lost. The outcome of being creative here is litigation against you. All you have to do is watch some of the foreign commercials and you can see how much fun they are. I have friends that send me them all the time. If you tried to litigate against a company for not labeling the coffee HOT anywhere but here you would be laughed out of the court room.
*jumps off soap box, sorry.
I just love these!
Thank you for sharing them.
Have a wonderful day!

Great pictures Judy, a bit distracting to other motorists maybe??

Hi Kenju!
I love these photos...they're really cool!
I bet some fool in the US said that it would be unsafe to have such a visual attraction on the road. I mean, really, who could drive an SUV while talking on the phone, changing a CD, drinking a coffee, AND looking at this great artwork?!

Hi Kenju!
Today is my first official day of blogging again! I haven't visited anyone's blog for a really long time. It's great to be back in touch!

BTW--You were one of the first blogs that I visited! :)

I love those.

Certainly much better than the gosh-awful ads I've been seeing on the TV.

That is crazy awesome. Except the Pringles one. That's a little scary.

Excellent pics. Unfortunately I think they are fake. If you open the library truck & the beer bottle truck in different windows and swap between them then you will see that everything except the painted parts is identical. The truck is parked in exactly the same spot, at exactly the same time of day (shadows give that away), same reflection on the truck cab. Also You can do the same thing with the aquarium & pringles images. The pringles image has just been darkened an blurred but it is still the same image. Sorry for being a spoilsport. :$

Here via Michele's today.

That aquarium one would probably make me wreck, I'd be all distracted staring at it...and then.. you know.. crash.

Pretty though.

Still if fake, they are so creative!

We are such the gawkers here, these trucks would definitely be road hazards. Fun but distracting. (Although probably less distracting than a cell phone plastered to your head while driving)
