Quotes of Note

"The butterfly counts not years but moments and has time enough".

Rabindranath Tagore, poet, philosopher, author, songwriter, painter, educator, composer, Nobel laureate (1861-1941)

(Yes, I know it's a Luna moth)

And here is a very good one....pay attention:

"It seems fitting that someone with the same name as Rome's founder, Romulous, presided over the empire's end. (Imagine if America's demise were to occur under a president named George.)"

Cullen Murphy in "The Road from Ravenna", an article in the September 2006 issue of The Atlantic Monthly.

Hello, Michele sent me!

Cheers and Happy New Year

That quote, along with the abnormally warm weather, has put me into an apocolyptic frenzy. Excuse me while I hoard canned goods and make an aluminum foil had to ward off the alien invaders.

Happy weekend Kenju!

Nobody sent me. I just come here unannounced. Sorry.

Have you read The Prodigal Summer? The Luna Moth, as beautiful as Barbara Kingsolver described it. The story is set in Appalachia...I read and listened to the author read it; it is a wonderful story. You are so creative...in your floral arrangement as well as your posts.

Tagore also wrote: The meaning of our self is not to be found in its separateness from God and others, but in the ceaseless realization of yoga, of union.

Have a great Sunday evening, Judy!
