Top: the front of the Governor's Mansion as we approached. All the trees on the front lawn are lit with hundreds of white lights, making a fairyland of the area.
2. The Stanley Cup was brought to the Mansion for display in the Library, where there is a hockey theme; specifically the Carolina Hurricanes.
3. Governor Michael Easley and two pretty (and perhaps star-struck) young ladies, named Abby and Rachel.

Hi. The front of the mansion looks fantastic. All those little white lights look like twinkling stars!
Gosh that must have been a splendid evening and your photos illustrate it beautifully.
Oh, what gorgeous photos and decorating! Especially loved the outside of the mansion....looked like a photo from a Dickens novel. And loved the tree and wreaths. I'd say Christmas has arrived in your part of NC.
So that's the Stanley Cup?!
Looks likea great night, here from Michele's!
thanks for sharing all those neat experiences.
