Little Davie's kindergarten class was on a field trip to their local police station where they saw pictures tacked to a bulletin board of the 10 most wanted criminals. One of the youngsters pointed to a picture and asked if it really was the photo of a wanted person.

"Yes," said the policeman. "The detectives want very badly to capture him."

Little Davie asked, "Why didn't you keep him when you took his picture?

i really like the quotes- especially the thoreau one. the first david joke could probably really happen with the amount of tv most kids watch these days.

Fun! I'm just catching up on my blog reading. I love the Good Hair Day, and also the pictures of Rome! I was in all those spots you pictured 15 years ago. It seems like yesterday. Thanks for the memories.

Hello there, Judy. This post reminds me of this (true) story: I was giving an intelligence test to a seven year old and I asked him if he could name the four seasons of the year. He screwed up his face in concentration and said, "Ah...deer. Hmmm, duck. Trout! That's one! Trout! And, ah...bear? Is that right?" What could I say?
