Don't cheat!
1. The one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants know the score or the leader until the contest ends .... Boxing
2. North American landmark constantly moving backward ... Niagara Falls (The rim is worn down about two and a half feet each year because of the millions of gallons of water that rush over it every minute.)
3. Only two vegetables that can live to produce on their own for several growing seasons . . Asparagus and rhubarb.
4. The fruit with its seeds on the outside . . Strawberry.
5. How did the pear get inside the brandy bottle? It grew inside the bottle. (The bottles are placed over pear buds when they are small, and are wired in place on the tree. The bottle is left in place for the entire growing season. When the pears are ripe, they are snipped off at the stems.)

I got six right.
My kiddos live for this kind of stuff. I shall try to stump them. Thanks!
I answered 6 correctly but I chose banana for the fresh fruit answer. Lettuce is obviously right - I guess banana desserts mess that up.
I got eight right Judy, not cos I'm smart but cos I'm dumb and couldn't remember the 3 Dw words from when I saw it before.
I didn't do really well. I'll print this and have my husband work on it.
Maybe my brain isn't awake yet :-)
I got 4 1/2 out of nine. Does that make me a half-wit? (The "half" was the one about perennial vegetables -- I knew asparagus, but...)
John
P.S. I could argue that in some boxing matches everybody knows who's the leader all the way to the end, if one contestant is simply dominating the other. But...
Do you give partial credit?
I did much better than I thought I would...
Oh, that was fun. I did great on the punctuation and footwear, guessed lettuce and the dw words, but the rest were real puzzles.

I don't suppose 4 of 9 is a passing grade? No, I didn't think so...
I failed miserably! Clearly I am lacking in BRAIN!! I always suspected that was the case!
Doesn't dweeb count...lol
What is greater than God,
More evil than the devil?
The poor have it,
The rich need it,
And if you eat it, you die?
Have a wonderful day!

I knew some of these Judy! I'm amazed because I usualkly don't know any of these kinds of abswers!
Thanks for the Heads Up on that flower...I looked at the Google images and I'm not sure that is correct...The Alliun looks more like the three flowers that are in this arrangement...but...You are the flower expert!
Yes, I plan to use this florist all the time now. This is the third arrangement I have seen of theirs---two in my own home...(one sent by good friends in San Diego...) So, I'm truly impressed!
I won't admit to how many I got wrong...but I am proud to say that the last one was very easy.
Just ask my husband about the number of S footwear I own!!
Eeeeeks..I didn't know too many of those. Here from Michele!
I've used that quiz for years, in the 'extra credit' section of my class website. I absolutely love quizzes like this. Thank you for posting it.
However, concerning number six. . . . oh well, maybe I'm just a dweeb.
I am an idiot, I think. Great questions, though. I'm also a keeper of nostalgic memorailia, by the way, so all these things you are running across make me realize I have a lot of blog fodder I hadn't even thought of yet.
