Frogs Galore!

This is my kitchen window. Part of my frog collection resides here, where I see them off and on all day. As you can see, I love the juxtaposition of cobalt blues and greens! In addition to the frogs, there is a panda bear pot-sitter given to me by my son and a small ring holder.

The other photos show close-ups of the frogs and bottles. In the third down, there is a translucent green frog that is actually a dental floss dispenser. My daughter bought that one for me, as well as the fat-bellied one in the second photo.I will have to post another photo to show the complete window. It will be below this one. The tall blue bottle is an old Avon bottle, but I don't know what it held. I found it in my mother's basement. The short green one to its right is an old ink bottle. The blue swan is an antique salt holder. I have a small collection of those too.

I love the frogs! I am glad the fallen tree did not damage anything. I am also glad the storm passed without too much damage. I used to collect hand blown glass boats but they were all destroyed in a move. Keep clicking the shutter on that camera, I love it!

Have a wonderful day!

Now why aren't we surprised that Judy has a collection of frogs, (she has a collection of everything.)

I did a double, make that TRIPLE take when I saw your window -- it's so much like mine. I'm a cobalt collector -- I have four windows FULL (and working on more). Yours is absolutely breathtaking.

The fat king frog rubbing his belly is hysterical. I suppose you would like the larger than life frog sculpture that sits in a wrought iron love seat in the front yard of that antebellum home in Columbus. He is reading a book. This is the frog that Nyssa kissed when she was Freshman Maid. Sadly, no prince appeared.

REALLY COOL FROGS. I got my love for frogs from the Asian people. All the years I spent dealing in the casinos taught me a lot about frogs from the Asians. It's a water sign, and thought to be a NECESSARY object around the doorway of your home. Many Asians will bring small frogs to the gaming tables and rub them for luck.
