Most of my photos didn't turn out as well as I had hoped; but here are a few to start. The top one is a "quilt" of flowers near the entrance to Epcot, which was the first park we saw. I had been there before (about 6-7 years ago) but the place has had some things added since then, making it more interesting than before. We were standing on a bridge over the water, and the "islands" of flowers dot the whole lake. It is a feast for the eyes, as is everything at Disney World.In the second photo, I was trying to show a clump of deep purple water lilies, which are next to the large clump of spiky foliage toward the right. Too bad it doesn't show up well. They were exquisite! The floral dragon was great also (on the left). Foliages grew out of his mouth, and out of the top of his head and formed his body. The creativity and maintenance is mind-boggling.
The third photo shows part of a miniature village, which I think was near the German section of Epcot. It was charming, and the children enjoyed it as much as the adults.
The fourth pic shows Minnie and Mickey Mouse in topiary form. There are topiaries all over the parks, and most of them are amazing. Like all the other flora at the parks, they are kept perfectly manicured.
In the past, I have heard some adults say that they would never go to Disney World because childish things don't interest them. Let me assure you that there is something for every age person to see and appreciate.

I have loved getting caught up with your last posts. Sounds like u have a great if not tirering trip lol..love the pics...and wow, congrats on the van...you will truelly need time to recoop from all of it....look forward to more posts and pics if u have more...

And you are bringing up old pleasant memories with my sons.
I spent a day at Epcot with my sister once--we were both adults in our early thirties at the time. We had a good time without kids. But still, those kind of places are best with children along so that you can watch the amazement in their eyes.

Glad you are back safe and sound! I have had a strange desire to go to Disney World lately...must have been due to watching the Ellen Show while she was in Orlando. Great pics, thanks for sharing!

I think I would love Disney World! It would be like time-travel for me and would return me to my childhood (even though we only had Mickey in early cartoons - and not all that Disney has come to be today).
My only problem with going there is that they allow other people to go too. haha

Glad a fun time was had. The flowers alone are worth the visit. My Dad used to go to Epcot alone once in a while he liked it so much. The pictures are nice.
Epcot is having it's annual flower festival right now, so I can imagine they had all the best displays laid out! We haven't been to Animal Kingdom yet, so I was glad to hear your endorsement of it! I've chaperoned a few trips to Epcot with my daughter's class back when she was in middle school and the kids didn't seem to like it as much as Disney world or Universal. But I did.. would have had a better time without the kids, LOL.
'course, their age may have had something to do with it. they were all 14 to 15 at the time and a little bored with the villages. they wanted RIDES!

I have never been and it's my lifelong dream to go. Jason promises to bring me soonish, and no, I don't think I'm too old! As if there's such a thing!
The last time I was there, in 1999, on a dare, I drank around the world; I had a beer in every country of Epcott. It was fun, but I wouldn't do it again.
And remember, don't try that at home kids, I used to be a professional.

I thought the pics were good--isn't that tiger magnificent! Never could imagine how anybody could think killing them for sport is "recreation."

And it all started with a man who couldn't stop doodling little pictures of a mouse.....
I still enjoy the Disney experience, as long as it is not too crowded. My hubby is one of those who doesn't really enjoy Disneyland very much. Each person is different when it comes to the "Magic" of the Kingdom.
Now I would probably spend more time at Epcot and the Studios theme park. Less time at the main Disney Park. I will never again go on the Space Mountain. I don't like roller coasters much even when I can see where we are going to drop, even less in the dark.
Love the photos! My daughter and my son remember with joy their voyage to Disney!
I've never been to Disney, maybe I'll make it someday!
