My mom's ice pick from the North Pole Ice Co. (all four sides.) No telling how old this is. I think it belonged to my grandmother, who, when I was very small, had an old ice box instead of a refrigerator.
I wonder what kind of meat was sold in a tin can? |
I collect paper fans, but I found this one in my parent's basement. |

I adore old advertising - thanks for posting these, and keep 'em coming!
Holy moly! That's some cool memorabilia right there! I especially love the North Pole Ice pick!!
311hislicGreat ice pick, I haven't seen one of those in longer than I care to mention.
All of these Vintage things are Wonderful, Judy....the Ice Pick is quite a treasure! As a little girl we had an "Ice Box"...so I know we had at least one Ice Pick, if not more....
I've never seen a CAN of Ice Cream before! That is pretty Amazing!
I had a customer named Ruth Ruth. Never got the story behind it.
You can buy many meats in a can. Corned beef... tuna fish...ham.
Those are great pieces of history Judy. Most of us would have to go to a museum to see them, you have you own display.
Ah, I can just hear Cary--
Neat keepsakes, I remember all those fans in church's down south given by funeral homes--they went out as AC came in. It has been a long time since I've seen an ice pick!
To do a Cary Grant imitation your middle name would have to be Judy too He said "Judy, Judy, Judy".
If you find the right canned meat, it is delicious. It is also very expensive.
I love old things like that! But I have never seen an ice pick. What did you use it for?
I agree with Peruby - corned beef or ham would be my guess. You can buy tinned ham in the UK in anay grocers, but I remember during the war our cousins in New Zealand sent us a tinned ham, and was it delicious??!!
I love to see the treasures that people collect, I never saw an ice pick before. I bet you had a use for it.

I really enjoy seeing these "old things." Ah yes, "Judy...Judy..."
My daughter and husband (who have an antique business) would be salivating just looking at those treasures !
The ice pick handle looks like a butter patter. I made that word up but you know what I mean:)
I love these old photos and the stuff.
I know a lady whose maiden name was Kim Nuttle. She married Kim Tuttle, so she was Kim Nuttle Tuttle. No joke. Her twin sons played basketball with David.
