The first lesson I want you to take away from here?
That you should be under the care of a doctor so that if you have high-blood pressure and or other factors that could lead to a stroke, they can be somewhat controlled.
Believe me, if there is anything you can do to keep from having a stroke, you should do it.
The second lesson: if you DO have a stroke, get to the hospital as soon as possible. There are drugs they can give you to halt the damage, but you have to get them within three hours, if possible. Don't wait......GO.

Such very good advice, Judy......These catastrophic happenings certainly change one's life, forever, and change the lives of all those who love and care for the person experiencing this terrible life changing Health Crises.
Good advice. Prayers for the next seven years...
Great advice Judy. Those types of things change whole families. Hope he is doing well.
Thank you for posting this. Good advice.
Thank you for this, Judy. This is the one takeaway from my own experience, that time is crucial and it's better to look silly for causing a false alarm than to look back afterward and wonder "what if?"
You saved lives with this entry. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and Jim.
I remember when that happened. Thanks for the reminder and I'm happy your hubby is still here with us.
This breaks my heart because I know how hard this has been.
Yes, it has been hard and continues to be. But it could be a lot worse, and for the fact that it isn't, I am grateful.
