Did You Know?

**Clovers can have more than four leaves; the most ever recorded is 56, discovered by a Japanese person in 2009.

Elephants are the only animals that can't jump.

Strawberries are a member of the Rose family.

Apples are more efficient at waking you up in the morning than caffeine is. (I'll have to try that one.)

20 minutes after you smoke a cigarette, your blood pressure returns to normal. (Which explains why I lit up every 20 minutes, on average.)

The ancient Egyptians thought onions kept evil spirits away. When they took an oath, they placed one hand on an onion.

You burn more calories sleeping than you do watching television. (What about when you sleep in front of the TV?)

It is impossible to hum while your nose is plugged.  (You just tried it, didn't you?)

I hummed a little. Talented, aren't I?

These are all great, Judy. And I didn't know about any of them...!
I might have guessed about The Elephants but hadn;t really thought about that one, at all.

Of course I tried to hum! You can't!

If I slept all the time, do you think I'd get thinner???

I did know about the strawberry-rose connection; but, had not known/thought about most. No, I did not try to hum...but...I thought about doing so. Then I read the rest and decided to thwart you! *chuckling*
Cop Car
P.S. Turtles can surely lurch forward in a jump-like motion. I wonder if they can jump?

Fascinating!

I found a four leaf clover when I was 14 and it's accompanied me to every exam or test I have ever done. I always pass so it must work! :)

That must have been one huge 4 leaf clover with 50+ leaves, or some unusual variety. I recall the fun of finding several of the 4 leaf variety when I was young. There seemed to be a number of them in one area.
