Do you do jigsaw puzzles? I love them, but I hadn't been able to do any for years - until I realized there's nothing stopping me now that my animals have gone on to the great beyond. The last time I tried to do a puzzle, my cats played baseball all night long with the pieces and I'd find them on the floor under the table where I'd been slaving over the puzzle. It was very frustrating.

Mr. Kenju gave me the leftover portion of a book store gift card recently, and I found this beautiful floral puzzle that I thought would be interesting to do. Little did I know how difficult it would be. There is so much solid brown around the edges, and those browns range from black coffee brown to cafe au lait and every shade in between! Mr. kenju said he thought I might be able to finish it in 2 and a half weeks. At this point I'm thinking it will take 2 and a half months - if not longer. I've already worked on it about 5-6 hours, and this is all I have to show for it.  Next time I'll buy one with a lot of pattern, all the way to the edges!

Oh I love doing puzzles, but they can be frustrating! We always have one out a t lake week, and it takes all of us to get one done in a week!

I used to do a lot of jigsaws, but found the little bits of paper dust gave me hayfever! But I see you've started the right way - with all the edge bits done!

Still, all those browns do sound a bit frustrating!

I haven't done a jigsaw since I was a kid! Of course they were much easier than this one back them - with colourful pictures right to the edge, LoL! :)

I love jigsaws and always have one on the go. I tend to do them in about 4 days, when I work on them off and on, but I do like to do images that are very busy with not too much blue sky or sea!

I won't allow anyone else to help do it!

My Mom did jigsaw puzzles. They are not my thing. She always covered her work with a table cloth when she was not working on it. Maybe that would keep the cats away.

The problem with this though, was when we set a drink on the table. Having a table cloth over the puzzle we could not see it and our drinks always tilted sideways as they teetered on the edge of puzzle pieces. LOL!

My Dad's family were puzzle addicts. I like them still. My fmaily did a big one over Christmas break at the beach with the grandgirls participating.

I love puzzles! They can be addicting and you end up spending more and more time putting them together.

I used to do Jigsaw Puzzles ALL the time as a younger person....Seeing your Beautiful, though hard, puzzle, makes me want to do them again...! I need some kind of table-top to do them on, though....! Much Good Luck, my dear....This looks like a tough one.

Fortunately, having a drawing board left over from college days, our family did puzzles when the children were of an appropriate age to participate. Haven't done one since the mid-1970s, I think.

Your puzzle will be beautiful when completed!

Good luck with the jigsaw.

Two cats make that an impossibility for me. Sigh. I do use JigZone on the internet which is quick but satisfies my craving and the cats can't touch it. You can pick from 6 piece to 247 pieces. I do the quick 48 piece ones.

My aunt always had a jig saw puzzle on a card table when I would visit in the summer. We just came and went from it, adding pieces at our leisure. I loved it.

I gave a NYC with twin towers (before 9/11) to patient who had roll up felt she carried about which kept her pieces in place. When I learned later she had died I wondered what happened to her puzzle -- maybe a collector's item now.
