To the woman in the Food Lion parking lot today; you who parked her Toyota so far back into the space behind that I had to inch up bit by bit in order to fit into my space, but not touch your car (which I was careful not to do):

You walked over and made a great show of checking your bumper; you must have thought I had hit your car - or else you were mad because you couldn't get into your trunk for your two small bags of groceries.  All you had to do was ask me to back up a bit. Getting in, slamming your door, firing up, revving the engine and then going into reverse and ramming my front bumper was totally uncalled for. Also, driving off in a hurry was sneaky. You didn't even register any surprise when you hit me. I know, because I could see your determined face in your rear-view mirror. I got your license plate number, and I just might report you to the police. That'll learn ya'.

Good grief. You really have to feel badly for the poor soul she goes home to.

Don't you just hate it when that happens?

I want to say 'Go get her', but in this country the car behind is at fault if the bump happens on the public roads. Were you in a private car park? Do they have cameras overlooking the carparks?

Call it in, sistah! I would, even if it amounts to nothing more than aggravation for her. Hee hee.

I would be tempted to call it in. The nerve of some people really gets my goat. What a rude, rude person she is!

I am glad you are safe and she did not hurt you. I have given up trying to understand people and the terrible things they do. At least you can vent it out here and have all of our support :)

I take it that she had pulled all the way through so that her vehicle was headed out? She's just a jerk, I would let it go now that you have vented here. She'll get hers eventually. Why is it that people obviously in the wrong can't just drive away instead of acting out and showing what they really are?

Charming, I glad you got her license plate number! You should report her, otherwise she'll do it again!

Sounds like the adult version of a toddler temper tantrum!

Some folk need to grow up!

'Scuse the language but what a cow!

I think you should report her, definitely!

I'm with the 'report her' crowd. She should get a lecture from a burly cop and maybe that will make her think twice next time.

NellJean--In "Coaching the Experienced Driver" classes, we were taught to pull through into a parking spot - if we could. It is much safer to pull forward out of a parking spot than it is to back out of one - especially in a crowded parking lot.

Judy--Sorry for your experience!
