Odds and Ends

Our weather could not be more beautiful than it is today; 76*, sunny, a slight breeze and few clouds. According to the weather people, this is the last day we will have temperatures in the 70's for quite a while - so I'm trying to enjoy it while I can. We will need jackets tomorrow, they say.

The pool has yet to be closed, and falling leaves are about to drive me nuts. I have to clean out the skimmer and skim the leaves off the top of the water on an hourly basis. I sure hope that the pool company will get my new cover put on quickly, so I'll be spared of that chore, especially after the weather turns cold tomorrow.

Do you watch soap operas?  I have watched (off and on) General Hospital since the early days of Luke and Laura, because my daughters watched it back then and while I got hooked on it, they lost interest later on. Soaps have always moved their story lines along slowly, but GH seems to be moving along at nearly glacial speeds these days. But there have been some interesting twists and turns, since they have a new head writer who is bringing back some old players (bravo to that).

My followers list on this blog is growing slowly, but it has a long way to go before it reaches the number who followed me on Imagine. Two of them are anonymous, and I do wish they'd let their presence be known. Speaking of followers, if you get a new follower whose name you don't recognize - check it out by clicking on their link/photo/icon. I've learned that some woman with porn sites will follow bloggers, in the hopes that others will click on their sites. I am fairly certain that most of you don't want that kind of link on your blogs, so get rid of them by blocking that person. It's easy to do.

It was a beautiful day here too and after my hospital appointment I went for a walk. Didn't want to come home!

OK, I am now a follower.. And I discovered one more thing we have in common. General Hospital. I used to tape it and watch it as I unwound from work. Now I DVR it and watch it later in the afternoon so I can skip all the commercials and most of the "Sonny" scenes. - They need to speed things up

I am you follower but for some reason I cannot join your site as a "follower". I am having a lot of trouble since my laptop broke. I can't seem to do anything on this desktop computer.

It was cold and nasty (rainy) here yesterday and just downright cold today...I guess Winter is moving on in. Yuck.

Judy--The last soaps that I followed were "Stella Dallas" and "Portia Faces Life" - back in the late 1940s or early 50s, on radio. Most of my life has been without TV, so I never got in the habit.
I don't do "following" of any blog, but I do enjoy reading yours!

P.S. Blogger is being wonky about accepting my comment, today!

The falling leaves here are driving me nuts already, and they have a long way to go before the limbs are bare. It always feels like a waste of time to rake and then watch new leaves fall and take their place. Still, it sure is beautiful out there!

We just cleaned up our leaves in the front yard. To have a pool and clean up the leaves would be hard work. Hope you get your cover soon.

Nope, don't watch soap operas.

Women with porn sites, egads, never thought I'd see the day that would happen. Not to many people follow my blog and frankly, I like it that way. I guess I'm just a little strange :)

I think I just updated things to follow your site...hope it worked. It's a beautiful crips fall day here today; but we've had our share of rain lately. I use to watch soap operas years ago, but never see them anymore. Have a good weekend Judy... ~Joy

and then there's today. Blustery, I think describes it.

I'm bad at following. I'm pretty sure I've never done it, blog-wise. Totally not a joiner, I suppose.

Thanks for that tip, Judy, although I don't have that many followers. I'm too boring, I think.
