Two ittle fishies in the itty, bitty poo......

Edit: Here is the song:

THREE LITTLE FISHES

Down in the meadow in a little bitty pool
Were three little fishes and their mommy fishy too
Swim! said the mommy fishy, Swim if you can!
And they swam and they swam right over the dam:
Boop boop dittum dattum wattum, choo (3x)
And they swam and they swam all over the dam (repeats last line)

Stop! said the mommy fishy, You'll get lost!
But the three little fishes didn't want to be bossed
So the three little fishes set off on a spree
And they swam and they swam right out to the sea

Whee yelled the fishes, oh here's a lot of fun.

Swim in the sea 'til the day is done
So they swam and they swam, it was all, a lark.
'Til all of a sudden they saw a shark.Whoa!
cried the fishes, oh look at the whales
Quick as they could they turned on their tails
Back to the pool in the meadow they swam
And swam and swam back over the dam.

Cool pic! Any relation?

Hi, Michele sent me!

Just incase you think my blogs comments is on the blitz, I don't have any. Nice to see you're still blogging after all this time. We kinda know each other, like so many I know through Michele's blog.

Have a nice weekend.

Ok, that is something that I had to look at for a bit...I am always amazed at how different people make a living! :)

I know this song, too, Judy...Maybe many of the 'younger' bloggers are not familiar with it...I think this picture is perfect! And dear, too!

Well, that's a different photo. Not to mention the colors. I don't think I know the song though....lol So color me clueless.

Judy,

My father used to sing that song (and "Mairsey Doates", too) when I was a little bitty kid. Great photo of the faces! The song reminds me of the story of two fish swimming in a lake. On fish isn't paying attention and swims right into a big concrete wall. He turns to the other fish and says, "Dam."

(Sorry)

John

I have very rich memories of my wife singing this tune to each of our kids. I can still hear her voice as she cradled each little one and gently sang.

They always fell asleep to the sound of her voice. Life doesn't get better than that.

The song I remember well. Same tune as five little ducks. :-)

I'm with Roxanne on the picture- it's just plain strange.

I'm surprised that no one has commented about Kay Kyser and his band "The Kollege of Musical Knowledge."

He was popular in the early 40's., maybe before most bloggers were born.

He made "The Three Little Fishs " the hit that it was.
I was a big fan of his - Harry Babbitt, Ginny Simms and Ish Kabibble were the singers with the band.
Harry was handsome, Ginny was pretty and Ish was funny!
