Photos 1, 2, and 3 are the King's Bedroom. The gold balustrade at the foot of the bed was a barrier, and we were told that no servants were to cross it while the King was in his chamber.

Michele sent me. The bed -- the actual mattress -- seems so tiny. Judged by the overly-ornate monstrosities they sell these days, it's less over-whelming than I'd expect. But beautiful nonetheless.
I cannot get over the paintings on the ceilings...The detail of each one...It is utterly Awesome! I hope they had a lot of Chiropractors in Residence to take care of all the "artisans"...Marie's Bed....Well, I never...! (lol) The colors are magnifent in these pictures Judy...are they true to the actual colors? Stunning! What a feast Judy...Thank You Soooo Much For This....!

i don't think i've ever seen anything as ornate as these rooms. incredible photos!
We went to Paris with the girls two years ago and visited Versailles with friends. These photos brought back all the great memories.
