Judy at Four

Jennifer, who writes a wonderful blog at:

http://chapternext.typepad.com/open_book has a notice in her sidebar about a group of people who are posting a new photo of themselves everyday for 365 days. Like Jennifer, I don't think I want to do that; but I could post an old photo of myself for nearly that many days (don't worry, I won't). Here's the first one, at age four. Jennifer's photo of herself at four reminded me so much of this one that I decided to post it. She is much younger than I am, but the photos are similar, even to the gingham dresses we wore.

After I posted the Google complaint today, no one bothered to read the post below it, which I thought was at least mildly amusing. You might want to backtrack and read it, if only for the two quotes at the bottom of the post.

Even at four, I see the look of success and determination in your face with the smile of the Belle of the Ball.

You're a quality blogger, and always a pleasure to read.

I'm 43, and I know that when I happen accross old photos of myself, I try to imagine if I can see some of who I am today in that photo.

You so cute and I love the accented hair bow. I'm surprised you didn't do any catologue modeling as a kid.

First, you were soooo cute in that picture!
I found the whole concept of the 365 days intriguing. However, I couldn't help thinking that with all the identity theft problems today, that this could be a rather dangerous project.

Personally, I LOVE seeing these types of photos, but I'm not the type of person who has ulterior, criminal motives in mind, and I would think most bloggers enjoy the photos as well.
The older photos, such as you have shown here, I doubt that's a problem. But what if a blogger uses a lot of recent photos?

But, there's always that one chance. Just something to think about.
There is a software program that will block someone from doing the "right click/save as" option on their computer. but it needs to be more accessible to bloggers.

What a cutie pie!! I don't think I have anywhere close to 365 photos of myself, but there is one that comes to mind and I think I'll make it my blog post for the day! Now I will go check out Jennifer's site.

Judy at four was already one to break the boys hearts. There probably are 365 of my baby pictures around somewhere... yes, you guessed it ... in storage.

that's a great photo. I sent my son a couple of my baby pictures the other night. He thinks there's a strong resemblance between Ella and me. Maybe I'll post them together and see what people think. Poor child. :-)

By the way, I did read those quotes, just didn't take the time to comment.

Seems like we might get a little rain from Ernesto today, but no wind so far.

BTW, I appreciate your big print, black on white. When you get older, and the eyes begin to dim, it surely helps to have the contrast.

Such a cute photo. I have one of me in a gingham dress age 5. I have literally boxes of photos of me, being the first child and grandchild...
