If only it were that simple......

I went to Sam's today in hopes of getting my tire repaired. No such luck. And not only can they not repair the tire, I got the bad news that I need four, not just one. This car (formerly a rental) that I have had since April 23rd, needs 3 new tires. I was advised that it is not a good idea to put only 3 on, since the next time they need to be rotated and balanced, the older one will have much less tread than the others. It makes sense, but I am wondering what my bad karma is (or should I say carma?).

I'm finally back online after almost 3 days of computer naughtiness. Your tires must have been on the same schedule as mine. I just coughed up some major moola for four new ones. I hate having to support a car but this is America where it's a necessary evil in most places. Good mass transit would be such an improvement.
A good week to you Judy.

Ohhhh :( We went through something like this a few months ago. We had to replace all 4 tires on our SUV and the cost made me cringe.
Actually, I don't know if cringe is the right word. Having to pay for those tires was ... ohhhhh. Arrrrghh!

Less than a month later, we ended up having to replace 2 tires on my daughter's car too.

I know that good tires are a practical neccessity, but boy... what a cost!

But just think how spiffy you'll feel with four new tires.

Woo-hoo.

I feel your pain. When I had my flat last fall it was the same thing. Unfortunately, Costco's tire sale isn't until mid-January so that is too long to wait. What will you do?

LOL, LOL...I laugh Judy only because I have very bad Car Carma, too! Amazing! But they certainly are correct in saying you need all four "new" tires....Every time you turn around it is something else that needs fixin'! OY!

Call around to other places. There are so many places around where you live to get this stuff done, surely you can start a bidding war. We just got 4 new ones, installed, for $320. Not too bad, really.
