I don't know the details, but the cat came down about 5:oo pm yesterday, as reported by the kid who lives next door. Once he learned how to come down, he waited until there was almost no one around and did it all by himself. We still don't know where he belongs. Thanks for all your concern!

I felt he would come down when he got good and ready.
Oh,my. Glad the cat made it down. I was concerned with the neighbor's ball caught up in a tree. The wind took care of that :)
Nothing like a good ol' case of Empty Tummy Syndrome to make a kitty come down from a tree! I know you are relieved. Judy, you may have a new cat on your hands.
That is very good news. Now, if we just knew he got home and got a decent meal and some well deserved sleep.
Amen! Glad that cat got down...! Maybe he will find his way home. I hope so.
Hooray for kitty! SO glad to hear all is well and he finally made his descent from that tree. And thanks for the update.
I so love to hear happy endings like this. It may seem small in the overall scheme of things. But many smalls make a big impression. And we have to start somewhere.
I hope kitty finds his home soon. I'm glad he's no longer threatened by gravity.
Yay!! I'm glad to hear that. Cats always win out in the end. When we worried as kids, my dad used to say, "No one has EVER found a cat skeleton in a tree!" He was full of happy thoughts, my dad.
