Consider the Lilies.......
SRP, at http://melange1.blogspot.com posted a good photo of yellow lilies today, and it prompted me to find this photo from several years ago. It is a detail of the flowers attached to an arch used during a wedding ceremony. Enjoy!

Right smart purty, Judy.
(Far as I know, tombstones are for real. They sure look it. Got 'em from dribbleglass.com)
Beautiful flowers!
Visiting from Michele's comments!
oo-oo-oo (like an excited primate)- these are beautiful! With smellgood! Now, where's the cat?
This must have been a glorious arch. I just love wedding flowers done right. This looks like they were freshly picked from a summer garden and expertly arranged I must add.....do you see the weddings you arrange for? If so do you cry a little at them?
Very pretty!
Thanks, everyone.
SRP: I only get to see a very few of the weddings I do, because when the ceremony begins, I am usually decorating at the reception site. If I did see them, I know I would tear up. Occasionally, I am a guest as well, and I always feel like one of the family because I have worked so closely with the bride and/or her mother.
I always want the flowers to look as though they have been freshly picked from the garden; truth is, they are usually from Ecuador or Holland or California or Hawaii, and they have been in transit for 2-3-4 days before they are delivered to the wedding. It's a miracle, isn't it, that they look so fresh?
I don't know why this photo looks so dark here. In life, it is very bright and colorful.
That is a gorgeous shot! I love flowers...
