Not a Great Way to Start the New Year.....

in an urgent care.  It's nothing serious - a UTI - which I apparently have had for 4 days, and should have seen the doc on Fri. or Sat.   I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't:  my daughters are always chastising me. If I go to the doctor for something - I am jumping the gun and "always going to the doc for something." If I don't go - I am ridiculous and not taking care of my health.

What to do?

I am now on antibiotics; which may put the damper on scheduled activities, such as a facial on Tuesday and a birthday luncheon on Wednesday for a friend. I have been very healthy for the past year or so, except for breaking my collarbone, and having to curtail my doings bothers me. I hate to be limited in what I can do.

  1. Hope you feel better as quickly as possible. I think UTIs respond well to antibiotics, so there's some good news. Happy New Year.

  6. Bless your heart. Especially bad around the holidays. I have been struggling with some crazy illness since August and it has been worse this past week so I am hoping to survive it at least long enough for them to find out what it is:-) Take care of yourself friend.

  8. I can certainly empathize with the annoyance of UTIs as have had periods of recurrent ones. You just have to go with your best judgement and not fret too much over other younger folk's perceptions which they may better understand when they're your age. Hope you get over soon. Happy New Year!

  9. My first time on your blog. I came because I saw your name on Naomi’s blog “Here in the Hills.” In case you are wondering about Naomi, I talked to her today and when she said she had no energy to go on her blog I offered to write a comment for all to read then realized she still has to approve it, so don’t know when it will appear. This is what I wrote “This afternoon Tuesday January 10, 2017, I had a good telephone conversation with our dear friend Naomi. She has been having health issues that have kept her occupied and have taken much of her strength. In addition she has lost many dear friends during 2016 and does not feel up to writing a fun post. She told me that she misses all her blogging friends and wishes them all a happy new year 2017. Hopefully, as her strength comes back she will come back to her blog.” Just in case, I thought you might like to know.

I hope you will feel well quickly. These infections are not fun but with antibiotics they don't stay long. Have a great 2017!
