.....as was another
and the whole house was decorated from stem to stern!
The kitchen garland really lights up the place, as does the hurricane, sporting cranberries and limes.
The foods were excellent, as usual. We had heavy hors d'oeuvres this year, instead of a sit-down meal - proving to be much easier for the hostess - who didn't have to seat (formally) 27 people for dinner. The pic below is of the buffet, but after we had gone through and made our selections.
The desserts were great too. Lemon bars, chocolate cake, petit fours and other stuff.
We all brought some foods for donation and there was quite a pile of it - I forgot to take a pic.
The annual gift exchange is always fun; here are a few of the women enjoying the gifts.
Here is the gift I got; a lit "present", currently lighting up my kitchen pass through. A silver, glittered ornament was also included. know it will last a long time - even after the lights burn out.
Sounds wonderful, good food and friends. More people are doing the buffet, finger food here too.
ReplyDeleteI love the gift you got to bring home. Looks like a grand time was had by all in such lovely Christmas surroundings.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely party. It all looks so effortless but must have taken a lot of organising. How nice to be a part of it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Christmas Judy and see you next year.
Loved the Christmas garland at the window. It all looks very tasteful and a lot of work!
