between posts! Nothing special prevented it, there is just not much going on to write about. I think that's probably a good thing, don't you?
Moppet loves the sun porch, and I do too, especially since it has been sunny and warm for the last three days. It is a great place to sit and read although it is conducive to falling sleep.
Today was haircut day; I asked for 1/2 inch to be cut off and it has been many years since I could have that done. From the mid-70's until late 2014, I kept my hair very short, which was better for me when I had my business, as it took much less time to care for. I let it grow after my heart surgery and before today, it was below chin length - too long for my long face and too unmanageable for me. I have never been great at caring for my hair; I am all thumbs when trying to style it. It would be great if I could let it grow until I could pull it back off my face, but I cannot seem to last that long in the growing out process.
I recently saw an orthopedist due to having lower back pain and sciatica, which has only grown worse since I was in the hospital for heart surgery. She told me to get physical therapy (which I have done before) but this time it seems to be helping. Luckily, the health club on the premises here in our new neighborhood has several therapists at the disposal of residents. Both Jim and I are doing it twice a week, and tomorrow I will add swimming to my repertoire.
This is our indoor pool, and I can't wait to use it. They also have a hot tub, and you can be sure I will dip into that as well.
Life is good. We are enjoying our new digs and starting to meet people. I hope you are doing well too!!

Your sun room looks lovely, as does your pool. I hope the back pain and sciatica is resolved with therapy. I'm having therapy right now for my rotator cuff. I don't think it will be completely resolved, but it is better already.
I'm so glad you are enjoying your new home.
Looks inviting ! Enjoy !
Guess I'm going to have to get the kitties a couch and afghan when the weather permits putting up their playpen. Glad the new house and surrounds are working out.
What good sense you and Jim have. You seem to be in the perfect place.
Sounds like you have found such a wonderful place to live. Love the pool and all the amenities. Hope the PT works for that sciatica pain.
i love that you're so happy :)
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that Sunroom, and dear Moppet, too!
What a wonderful place you have moved to Judy.....So many GOOD things available to you.....Life sounds very good, my dear.
Sounds and from the pictures it looks like you've moved into a lovely new place. I do hope the P.T. helps as having access to the equipment, pool and their input can be very helpful -- another benefit living in such a community compared to "living in place" as I'm currently doing.
Whenever I read your posts I think of my mother, and please don't take that the wrong way. My parents never prepared themselves for their future. They both put their head in the sand. Now my mother lives alone in a big house alone. She can't drive, can't go anywhere, and can't do anything. She's too far from the shops and has no friends. I just think how different her life would be now if they'd moved house before Dad died. I'm glad you are loving your new home and life.
It sounds like you have made the perfect choice of a new home. Love the idea that they have a pool. Love seeing Moppet looking so good.
Like you, I don't have the patience to let my hair grow long enough to pull back ... sooooo, end up with a boy's bob ! Ugh.
