No News Is Good News, Right?

I don't think it has been this long since I posted in a long time, if ever. Life intrudes on blogging, don'tcha know?

I went to my cardiologist today; she gave me a thumbs up and said come back in a year. That is not unexpected, but it is good to have it confirmed.

Our old neighborhood had a Casino Night last night to benefit the USO here in NC.  We raised $810 and had great fun doing it.  These five husbands were our Pit Crew;
they showed us how to play and how to bet the chips we had bought. They did a wonderful job and we all had so much fun, we want it to become an annual event.  About 20  women came, and even a few who were not able to make it gave a donation to the cause.  We were asked by the hostess to wear our bling  and I complied
with a sequined hat I have had for 35 years, and a dress that has mystifyingly shrunk since I wore it last - three years ago.

Here are a few of the women:

Do you like to gamble?  I have only played slot machines before, not blackjack or roulette, but I really enjoy all of it.

As always I envy your gatherings of fun. Love your outfit! Yes I like to gamble occasionally. There are over 50 casinos in about an 80 mile radius of my home.

Glad to hear the good news from the doc! As for gambling, I don't generally participate, but I did win the first two quarters pool for this year's Super Bowl--essentially making 300% on my investment.
