Quotes of Note

Without books the development of civilization would have been impossible. They are the engines of change, windows on the world, "Lighthouses" as the poet said "erected in the sea of time." They are companions, teachers, magicians, bankers of the treasures of the mind, books are humanity in print.

Arthur Schopenhauer , philosopher (1788-1860)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Hunting is not a sport. In a sport, both sides should know they're in the game.

Paul Rodriguez

He who would be a leader must be a bridge.

  4. I don't see the sport in hunting either. If you had to hunt for food, that would be different. Of course we are all guilty of doing things we want to do rather than what we have to do at times.

  13. Great quotes!!

This is my personal favorite I use to get me through most days (esp at work):

"We are as happy as we chose to be"

I'm not sure, but I think it's attributed to Abraham Lincoln...

The only things I hunt for are socks & loose change and occaisionally my dignity.
