The fact you let the sender know might mean the courts would be lenient with you. *grin*. joaredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09999395062839739698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10194064.post-78851220277532161132017-03-14T20:25:23.909-05:002017-03-14T20:25:23.909-05:00On it's second arrival, I would have done the ...On it's second arrival, I would have done the same thing.<br />I probably would have done it the first time. I had a very similar thing this week. I get my mail at the post office and, along with my usual mail I found a folded card in my box that I almost threw out because it looked like an ad. Instead I opened it and was surprised to see it was a medical appointment for a veteran with a statement saying if he didn't make the appt. it would be 3 months before they could re-schedule. WOW ... I then saw that the address was not my box but one number next to me. Of course I took it back and pointed out to the Post Office staff how important it would be for the man to get it right away. They smiled politely but I had the feeling they could care less !!! They are deceased and for the first year, I'd give them to the real estate agent who know them to send to their son who lives somewhere else. Since then we just write deceased on it and place it back in the mailbox. sagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17499891950639742366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10194064.post-34940358909758325832017-03-11T11:14:45.275-05:002017-03-11T11:14:45.275-05:00I'd try to find them too.I'd try to find them too.Celiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14485118642482033233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10194064.post-30208755499564222062017-03-11T09:26:35.465-05:002017-03-11T09:26:35.465-05:00I hope you said "opened by mistake" othe...I hope you said "opened by mistake" otherwise I think it was a Federal Offense.
