Do you remember ...Those old cut outs are so great. Do you remember back in the late 50's and early 60's when Campbell soup had the "Campbell Kids" and the grocery stores had these large cut outs hanging from ceilings or on the end of a shelf for advertising? Mom would go and beg them off the grocer when new ones came in. She had quite the collection and used them in her school room on bulletin boards and such. They were so adorable. When we left Roanoke, she gave them all to Mrs. Scott who had been my teacher in 3rd and 4th grade. I guess she thought she wouldn't teach again but she did and lamented for years that she no longer had them. The artistry was so intricate and the look so unique. Oh for the art of the past.

The dinner sounds like fun... especially those bacon wrapped scallops... yum!srphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11751987787364198318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10194064.post-1165379844755692012006-12-05T23:37:00.000-05:002006-12-05T23:37:00.000-05:00Oh la la, the Guvna and his wife... uh huh.
