On a Scale of One to Ten.....

Today, 10-21-13 was a twenty and I do believe it spiked higher on occasion. Not in a good way.

As some of you already know, we are attempting to sell our former home, the one we lived in for 31 years until this past July.

Suffice it to say that the process for selling a home is quite a bit different than it was in 1982; one that can make for stresses you never ever thought possible. At 5:00 pm, the due diligence period ended. But it was touch and go there for a while, and I came near to losing my cool, whatever that is. No, let's face it - I did lose my cool. I sobbed.  But around 4 pm, I asked for help. I asked my Facebook friends to keep their fingers crossed for me and pray, if they were the praying kind of person. Then, we waited, and left to go out for Mexican food, my favorite. I even had a margarita.....which I don't do often.

On returning, I opened Facebook to see 40+ comments; all positive, compassionate, helpful and in friendship and I lost it again - but I was sobbing in a good way. Have you any idea how heartwarming it is to see/read all that? The support was overwhelming and I am so pleased and so humbled to know that you are behind me, whenever I ask. I read each and every one; answered a few private messages and basked in the warmth I felt from all. I am truly blessed in many ways; with family and friends and bloggers and now people on Facebook, many of whom I know in "real life", but a few I don't. I am so grateful for all of you. I found this post on Facebook tonight and I had to share it there, and here with you:

Have had you in my prayers since you first started trying to sell.

I haven't been commenting much on Facebook since their policies have changed. So, I can't remember if I saw your post or commented. It's true though about the absolute wealth of support and friendship we can get from people, some of whom we have never met. Selling a house is a bummer. I wish you the best of everything: luck; a good buyer; peace of mind.

I've never had a Margarita.
